Allergosan 25 mg 20 tablets

Composition:

One coated tablet contains 25 mg chloropyramine hydrochloride.

Used for:

In the form of tablets: for treatment of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivities, hay fever, drug and food allergy, allergic reactions after insect bites. 

Dosage and administration:

Oral administration: adults - 25 mg (1 tabl.) 3-4 times daily (up to 150 mg, if necessary); children over 5 years: 1 tablet, 2-3 times daily.

Warnings:

Тablets: adenoma of prostate; acute peptic ulcer; pyloricduodenal stenosis; glaucoma; pregnancy and lactation; hypersensitivity to the product.

Allergosan and other drugs:

Allergosan should not be used parenterally or orally, concurrently with MAO-inhibitors.

Because of the anticholinergic effects of Allergosan, concomitant administration with cholinomimetics is not recommended as they may increase adverse cholinomimetic effects.

General anesthetics, analgesics and psycholeptics potentiate the sedative effect of Allergosan.

Adverse reactions:

Upon parenteral or oral administration Allergosan can induce: drowsiness, weakness, vertigo, tiredness, dryness of mouth, constipation, and more rarely, vision disorders and intraocular pressure elevation. Occasionally, external application may cause contact allergy and photosensitization.
