DESCRIPTION:
1. WHAT IS ALORA AND WHAT IS ALORA USED FOR?
The syrup contains passionflower extract, which has a calming (sedative) effect. Passionflower extract is obtained from the plant Passiflora incarnata. As active ingredients, it contains alkaloids such as harmin, aribine and some flavonoids such as vitexin and orientin.
Alora syrup is meant for symptomatic relief of the following conditions:
-anxiety
-sleep disorders
-nervousness
-insomnia
-nervousness during menstruation and menopause
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE ALORA:
Do not take Alora:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to passionflower extract or any of the other ingredients of Alora syrup. An allergic reaction can be recognized by the presence of: a rash, itching, redness of the skin or difficulty breathing.
Taking other medicines:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Co-administration with central nervous system depressants (such as alcohol, barbiturates, tranquilizers) may enhance the sedative and hypnotic effects. Co-administration with disulfiram (used to treat alcoholism) should be avoided. Urinary sediment (phenylketonuria - a congenital metabolic disease) should be monitored in patients taking aspartame.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Pregnant women can take Alora syrup only after careful consideration by a doctor.
Driving and operating machines
The central depressant effect of the medicinal product must be taken into account; especially when driving and operating machines that require concentration.
3. HOW TO TAKE ALORA?
Always take Alora syrup exactly as your doctor has advised you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Alora syrup is taken orally.
Recommended dosage of Alora syrup:
In adults:
to achieve a calming effect throughout the day, 5-10 ml (1-2 measuring spoons) of Alora should be taken before meals.
In case of sleep disorders, take 10 ml (2 measuring spoons) of Alora at bedtime.
In children (over 3 years of age):
Seek advice from your doctor. The amount of one dose should not exceed half a measuring spoon.
If you use more Alora than you should seek medical attention immediately.
If you think your child has taken more than the recommended dose, seek medical attention immediately.
