1. What is Angal Lemon and what is it used for?

Angal Lemon is a topical drug for the oral cavity and pharynx.

It has an antiseptic effect and a local analgesic effect.

Angal Lemon is recommended for:

Treatment of symptoms of redness, a sore throat, pharynx and oral cavity issues, accompanied by irritation such as inflammation of the gums, oral mucous membranes and aphtha;

In cases of bacterial infection accompanied by high fever, additional treatment is needed;

Angal Lemon does not contain sugar, which makes it suitable for diabetics.

2. What you need to know before using Angal Lemon

Do not use Angal Lemon:

If you are allergic to chlorhexidine hydrochloride or lidocaine hydrochloride or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);

Children under 6 years of age.

Warnings and precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Angal Lemon.

Angal Lemon should not be used for long periods of time with or without interruptions. Use should be limited to the necessary attainment of pain relief and irritation;

In case of overdose (more than 20 tablets per day) there is a slight risk of loss of control of the swallowing reflex;

Take care of children with a history of seizures. This medicine contains levomenthol;

Children

Do not use this medicine in children under the age of 6 years.

Other medicines and Angal Lemon

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

Do not use at the same time as other disinfectants.

Angal Lemon with food, drinks and alcohol

No special precautions are required.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility

If you are pregnant or are breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

If the listed precautions and warnings are met, Angal Lemon can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Tell your doctor that you are taking this medicine.

Driving and operating machines

No special precautions are required.

Angal Lemon contains levomenthol and sorbitol

Angal Lemon contains levomenthol: be careful when used in children with a history of seizures.

Angal Lemon contains sorbitol. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some types of sugar, contact your doctor before using this medicine. Sorbitol may have a mild laxative effect. The energy value of sorbitol is 2.6 kcal / g.

3. How to use Angal Lemon

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

This medicine should not be used for extended periods of time. Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or even get worse after 3-4 days.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 6 to 10 tablets per day. Allow the tablets to slowly melt in your mouth.

Children and adolescents

Children over 6 years of age: 3 to 5 tablets per day. Allow the tablets to slowly melt in your mouth.

Angal Lemon should not be used in children under the age of 6 years.

If you use more than the required dose of Angal Lemon

When used correctly, the risk of overdosing is very low.

Symptoms of overdose are: fatigue, tinnitus, difficulty in breathing, heart rhythm disturbances, impaired swallowing control.

If you forget to use Angal Lemon

Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you stopped using Angal Lemon

No special measures are required.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

Possible side effects are grouped according to MedDRA system organ class classification and frequency:

Uncommon (=> 1 / 1,000 to <1/100);

Rare (=> 1 / 10,000 to <1 / 1,000);

Rare: Immune system disorders - anaphylactic reactions (severe allergic reactions).

Not known: Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders - Skin and mucous membrane allergic reactions. Changes in taste. Feeling of burning on the tongue.

In the case of prolonged and continuous use, brown tooth coloring can be noticed, and this coloration is transient and reversible.

How to Store Angal Lemon

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store below 25 ° C in the original package.

Do not use Angal Lemon after the expiry date which is stated on the carton / blister after EXP. The first two symbols indicate the month, the next two or four characters - the year. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Do not dispose of medicines in the sewage system or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.

The active substances are: chlorhexidine hydrochloride 5 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride 1 mg.

Angal Lemon is available in cartons of 12, 24, 36 or 48 tablets in perforated unit dose blisters of PVC / PCTFE / Al foil.
