Duspatalin 135mg 30 Capsules For Abdominal Pain And Cramps
Duspatalin is used to relieve symptoms of the so-called Irritable bowel syndrome. These symptoms can vary, but may include:
- Abdominal pains and cramps;
- Feeling of bloating and gas formation;
- Diarrhea, constipation or a combination of both;
- Small, hard stools in the shape of balls or strips.
Duspatalin contains a medicine called mebeverine. It belongs to the group of the so-called antispasmodics, which act on the intestines.
The intestines are a long muscular tube through which food passes and is processed. When a spasm occurs in the intestines, they become narrow and this leads to pain. This medicine helps relieve pain and spasms.
Mebeverine hydrochloride (Mebeverine hydrochloride) 135 mg
The usual dose is one tablet 3 times a day. Swallow the tablets whole with a full glass of water. Do not break or chew them.
The tablets work best if you take them 20 minutes before a meal and spread them evenly throughout the day.
See your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 2 weeks of treatment. Do not take more than 3 tablets daily.
You should not take this medicinal product if: you are allergic to mebeverine or any of the other ingredients of Duspatalin.
Ask your doctor before taking the medicine if: this is the first time you have ever gotten these symptoms; you have blood in your stools; you feel sick or vomit; you are pale and feel tired; you have severe constipation; you have a fever; you have recently traveled abroad; you have difficulty or pain when urinating; you have unusual vaginal bleeding or discharge; you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Duspatalin is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Do not give Duspatalin to children under 3 to 10 years of age.
Duspatalin contains lactose and sucrose (types of sugar). If you cannot tolerate or process certain sugars, tell your doctor!
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not store above 30 °C. Store in the original packaging!
