1. WHAT FLUDITEC SYRUP IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
The name of this medicine is Fluditec 20 mg / ml syrup. This drug belongs to a group of medicines called "mucolytics", used to treat impaired bronchial secretion, especially in cases of acute lung disease: acute bronchitis and acute crises of chronic bronchopneumumma in children over 2 years of age
2. BEFORE YOU USE FLUDITEC SYRUP
Do not use Fluditec syrup and tell your doctor if your child is:
Allergic (hypersensitive) to:
the active ingredient of this medicine;
any of the other ingredients of Fluditec syrup (described in section 6 What Fluditec syrup contains), especially methyl parahydroxybenzoate.
Do not use in babies (under 2 years of age) due to the risk of exacerbation of bronchial congestion.
If you think any of these conditions apply to your child or if you have any doubts, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Fluditec syrup.
Take special care with Fluditec syrup
Seek medical advice in case of:
productive cough with pus;
chronic bronchial pathology or lung disease;
treatment should be discontinued in case of worsening of the symptoms. In this case, consult your doctor to re-evaluate the treatment;
productive cough is a major part of the body's protective bronchopulmonary system and should be well maintained, especially in children;
a bronchial-modified agent such as Fluditec syrup should not be combined with products depressant and / or cough-drying products;
due to the presence of sugar, Fluditec syrup is contraindicated in children with congenital fructose intolerance, glucose / galactose malabsorption syndrome or sugar / isomaltase deficiency;
the sugar content should be taken into account in children with diabetes or a diet requiring reduced sugar intake. The sugar content is 3.5 g in 5 ml of syrup;
this medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and azo dye sunset yellow FCF and may cause allergic reactions (may be delayed).
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if your child is taking or has recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Fluditec syrup has no known drug interactions. Nevertheless, always inform your doctor or pharmacist of the medicines your child is taking.

Important information about some of the ingredients of Fluditec syrup
If your doctor has told you that your child has an intolerance to some sugars, consult with your doctor before your child takes this product. The presence of methyl parahydroxybenzoate and sunset yellow FCF may cause allergic reactions (may be delayed).
3. HOW TO USE FLUIDITEC SYRUP
Always give your child Fluditec syrup exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
This medicine is taken orally.
5 ml of the syrup in the dosage cup contains 100 mg of carbysteine.
Children over 5 years of age: 3 times daily x 5 ml per dosage cup, preferably between meals.
Children from 2 to 5 years of age: 5 ml per day in the dosing cup, preferably between meals.
The recommended duration of treatment is 8 - 10 days. For longer treatment, talk to your doctor.
Follow the advice of your doctor during the entire treatment period.
If your child has taken more Fluditec syrup than it should
In case of overdosage, stop treatment and consult a doctor immediately or go to the nearest Emergency Medical Service. Take the medicine with you. This will help the doctor understand what you have exactly given your child.
If you forget to take Fluditec syrup
Give Fluditec syrup to your child, as your doctor has told you.
Do not give more than the prescribed daily dose to your child.
Do not give a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Fluditec syrup can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Risk of bronchial congestion in babies;
Skin allergic reactions such as pruritus, erythematous rash, urticaria and angioedema;
Possible digestive disturbances (gastralgia, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea ). If such disturbances occur, it is advisable to reduce the dose.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5. HOW TO STORE FLUDITEC SYRUP
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use Fluditec syrup after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Store below 25 ° C.
Store in the original package.
Shelf life after opening the bottle: one month at a temperature below 25 ° C.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or as household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of your unnecessary medicines. These measures will help protect the environment.

What Fluditec syrup contains:
The active substance is carbysteine.
Each dose (5 ml) of the syrup contains 100 mg of carbysteine.
The other ingredients are: glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sucrose, coloring: sunset yellow FCF (E110), sodium hydroxide, banana essence, purified water.
