Use of other medicines:
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. The simultaneous or successive use of other antiseptics should be avoided due to the possibility of interactions (antagonism, inactivation, etc.), especially with anionic derivatives. Hexetidine is inactivated by alkaline solutions.
Use of Hexoral with foods and drinks
Hexoral is to be administered after meals.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. There are no controlled clinical trials in humans, but based on animal studies and theoretically assuming the negligible absorption in human blood, it is considered unlikely that the use of Hexoral in pregnant women presents a risk to the fetus. For the same reasons, it is considered unlikely that the use of Hexoral in breast-feeding women poses a risk for the infant.
Driving and operating machines:
Hexoral has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Important information about some of the components of Hexoral. In children up to 3 years of age, due to the minty aroma of the Hexoral composition, glottic or bronchial spasm, asthma attacks or even respiratory failure may occur. This medicine contains excipients and terpenic derivatives, which reduce the epileptogenic threshold and in excessive doses can cause seizures in children; to take into account the presence of these excipients in people with a history of epilepsy.
