For hundreds of years, Frangula has been used by the Indians as a natural laxative. Once the bark of the bush is dried and the necessary treatment has been done, it can be consumed in various forms. The desired effect occurs from 6 to 10 hours after taking the herb. The laxative effect of the bark is due to the anthraglycosides in the chemical composition. Today, when the effect of Frangula against constipation is known, many pharmaceutical companies use it in laxatives. The plant has a tolerable laxative effect. In traditional medicine, Frangula bark is used for symptoms of lazy gut, constipation and colitis. Terminalia belerica, Terminalia chebula and Phyllanthus emblica are some of the most widely used Ayurvedic herbs that have a beneficial effect on digestive disorders. The three plants are rich in tannins, which contribute to the normal functioning of the colon. Cassia angustifolia is a herb that is known for its powerful laxative effect. It is also popularly known as senna. It stimulates intestinal peristalsis.
