Nexopral is an over-the-counter medicine designed for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms in adults, such as heartburn and acid regurgitation. Its active ingredient, esomeprazole, is a proton pump inhibitor that effectively reduces stomach acid production, providing relief from discomfort caused by acid reflux.

Reflux occurs when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, leading to symptoms like a burning sensation behind the breastbone, sour taste in the mouth, and irritation. Nexopral works to alleviate these symptoms and promote healing.

Composition:

Active Ingredient (per tablet):

• Esomeprazole 20 mg (as magnesium dihydrate).

Excipients:

• Pellets: Methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer, talc, triethyl citrate, hypromellose, sugar spheres, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropylcellulose, glycerol monostearate, polysorbate 80.
• Tablet Core: Microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K-29/31, macrogol 6000, crospovidone, sodium stearyl fumarate.
• Tablet Film Coating: Opadry pink, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol, yellow iron oxide (E172), red iron oxide (E172).

Usage Instructions:

• Dosage: Take 1 tablet (20 mg) daily. Do not exceed this dose.
• Tablets may take 2–3 days to show improvement in symptoms.
• Treatment duration should not exceed 14 days.
• Stop taking Nexopral once symptoms are fully resolved.
