Taninal 500mg 20 Tablets
Taninal 500mg 20 Tablets
Taninal is a traditionally applied medical product, whose efficiency is based exclusively upon long-standing use and experience. Taninal contains a combination of tannins – tannic acid (tannin) and protein – albumin. Thanks to this combination, the drug does not strongly irritate stomach mucosa. The preparation releases tannins in the small intestine under the influence of the digestive enzyme pancreatin. The released tannin demonstrates styptic and bacteriostatic effects, also acts antidiarrheally by creating poorly soluble complexes with bacterial toxins. Apart from that, it inhibits small bleeding caused by damage to intestinal mucosa capillaries.
Taninal is traditionally applied in case of diarrheas and food poisoning.
Taninal is produced in the form of round tablets of beige to brown color.
