WHAT IS TEBOKAN 80 MG AND WHAT IT IS USED?
Tebokan 80 mg contains: Ginkgo biloba standardized extract of dried leaves (35-67:1)
Tebokan 80 mg is used for:
The symptomatic treatment of:
-Mild to moderate forms of dementia (vascular, degenerative and mixed) in a common regimen.
-Diseases of the narrowing of peripheral arterial stage II according to Fontaine (intermittent claudication) in the physical-therapeutic activities, especially exercise.
-Vertigo and tinnitus as a result of disease and / or age-related disorders. Frequent dizziness and tinnitus always requires clearance from a doctor. If there is a sudden decrease or loss of hearing, you should immediately consult a doctor.
Individual response to treatment can not be predicted. Before starting treatment with this product it should be clear whether the symptoms are not due to a disease that requires specific treatment.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE USING IT
Do not use Tebokan 80 mg:
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Ginkgo biloba or any of the excipients.
During pregnancy
Take special care with Tebokan 80 mg:
In children:
Since there are not enough studies regarding the use of this drug in children, it should not be used in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Since there are few reports about the possibility of preparations containing Ginkgo to enhance the bleeding tendency, this product should not be taken during pregnancy.
Since there are not enough studies, the product should not be used during breastfeeding. It is not known whether the constituents of the extract are transmitted through breast milk.
OTHER WARNINGS
With an increased tendency to bleed (haemorrhagic diathesis) or concomitant use of drugs that inhibit coagulation Tebokan 80 mg should be used only after consulting a doctor.
Reports of the possibility of preparations containing Ginkgo to enhance the bleeding tendency. The intake of this product should be stopped before surgery. Please tell your doctor that you are using Tebokan 80 mg in order to determine how to proceed.
If you suffer from epilepsy, please consult your doctor before starting treatment with Tebokan.
This medicinal product contains lactose. Please consult your doctor first before taking Tebokan 80 mg if you are known to have an intolerance to some sugars.
Drug Interactions
Co-administration of Tebokan with drugs that inhibit blood clotting (such as warfarin, phenprocoumon, clopidogrel, aspirin and other nonsteroidal antirheumatic products) should not preclude the possibility of enhancing their effect.
Like all medicines it can not be excluded that Tebokan 80 mg acts on the metabolism of various other drugs that can affect the strength and / or duration of action. There is not enough research on these effects. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

HOW DO YOU TAKE TEBOKAN?
Please. Take Tebokan 80 mg as instructed. If you are unsure of the proper use, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Usage: Oral
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
Symptomatic treatment of dementia due to organic brain syndrome: Adults over 18 years of age - one film-coated tablet x 2-3 times per day (corresponding to 80 mg of Ginkgo extract x 2-3 times a day).
To increase the distance traveled without the pain of a blocked peripheral arterial:
Adults over 18 years of age - one film-coated tablet x 2 times a day (corresponding to 80 mg of Ginkgo extract x 2-3 times a day).
In case of vertigo and tinnitus:
Adults over 18 years of age - one film-coated tablet x 2 times a day (corresponding to 80 mg of Ginkgo extract x 2-3 times a day).
The tablets should be taken in the morning, noon and evening (3 times daily) or in the morning and evening (two times daily).
Do not swallow Tebokan 80 mg in a supine position. The tablets should be taken unchewed with some liquid (preferably with a glass of water}. Intake does not depend on nutrition.
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of this product is too strong or too weak.
Children and adolescents
Tebokan 80 mg is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age (see. 2.2.)
How long should I take 80 mg Tebokan?
Symptomatic treatment of dementia due to organic brain syndrome: The duration of treatment should last at least eight weeks. If morbid symptoms do not improve or even worsen after 3 months, you should check whether further treatment is warranted.
In case of obstruction of peripheral arterial:
To increase the distance traveled without pain, the required minimum treatment duration is at least 6 weeks.
In case of vertigo:
Application for a period longer than 6 to 8 weeks is not viable as a treatment.
For Tinnitus:
As an aid in the treatment it should be administered for at least 12 weeks. If there is no improvement after 6 months it can be expected to further improve with a longer treatment period.
If you take more than the required amount of Tebokan
There have been reported cases of overdosage. If you take more Tebokan 80 mg, side effects listed under "Side Effects" may be made more severe.
Please tell your doctor. They will assess whether it is required to take any action.
If you forget to take 80 mg Tebokan
Do not take a double dose next time to make up for a forgotten dose and continue treatment as prescribed.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Like all medicines, Tebokan 80 mg can cause side effects. The following tablet includes all adverse reactions that may occur during treatment with dry leaf extract of Ginkgo biloba, including those at higher doses and prolonged treatment.
No firm data on the frequency of adverse reactions observed during treatment with products containing Ginkgo biloba, as they have become known by the single reports from patients, doctors and pharmacists. According to these reports there may occur the following side effects:
Bleeding from different organs can be observed especially in the case of concomitant use of anticoagulant agents such as phenprocoumon or other nonsteroidal anti-rheumatic agents. Severe hypersensitivity reactions (allergic shock) are possible in allergic patients, and allergic skin reactions (redness, swelling, itching).
If any of the above events occur, please discontinue use of Tebokan and immediately consult your doctor who will decide what action should be taken.
They may also cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, dizziness or increased dizziness.

HOW TO STORE TEBOKAN 80 MG?
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use Tebokan 80 mg after the expiry date printed on the box and blister. This term refers to the last day of that month.
