VITIX GEL - PIGMENTATION REGULATING GEL FOR VITILIGO CARE 50ML

Vitix Gel is intended to promote epidermal repigmentation, and its activity has been confirmed by numerous clinical studies.

Vitix gel has been specially formulated to help regulate melanin activity in the skin. It is made up of microspheres of a plant extract which is exceptionally rich in anti-oxidant activity which mop up excessive amounts of Hydrogen peroxide in the skin which is thought to be toxic to the melanocytes, the melanin producing cells in the epidermis.

Application of Vitix gel twice a day helps restore melanin and with this - there is a great possibility that colour will return to the skin. Vitix gel can be used along with the treatments using PUVA, UVB, and heliotherapy (sunlight) therapy.

- Re-establishes the cells responsible for producing skin pigments (melanocytes)

- Contains microspheres of patented vegetable extract with many anti-oxidising properties

- A non-greasy opaque gel with a slightly granular appearance

- Applied once to twice daily to the affected areas for 3 to 6 months

- Can be used in association with PUVA or UVB Therapy

Vitix gel has a slightly "grainy" feel to it when applied to the skin. These "grains" are the microspheres which protect and contain the natural enzymes which help the repigmentation occur.

Applying Vitix

Vitix gel should be applied on the affected areas as well as on the contour of the lesions twice a day by gently massaging it into the skin in a circular motion until the microspheres can no longer be felt. After penetration, you may apply a regular skin care cream or makeup.

Treatment should be continued for 3 to 6 months, additional benefits have been shown if Vitix gel is used in combination with phototherapy. Results should become apparent between the second and fourth months of use. Repigmentation of white marks may be seen in the form of small round marks or uniformly when the melanocytes have not completely disappeared from the area which has lost its pigment.

Vitix doesn’t work for everybody.

It’s important to point out that, as with all treatments, there are a number of patients who will not respond to Vitix treatment. Clinical studies carried out using Vitix plus phototherapy compared to placebo (dummy gel) plus phototherapy demonstrated that the probability of gaining a 50% reduction in the size of a pale patch of skin was twice as great in the Vitix group than in the placebo.

FAQ's

Could my white patches disappear?

Vitiligo is a condition during in which, most of the time, repigmentation in areas which have lost their pigmentation may be achieved. Patients must follow their Dermatologist's recommendations. Treatment often takes a long time.

How can I reduce the white patches caused by my vitiligo?

Vitix® can help with rapid repigmentation if used over a period of several months and as advised by your dermatologist.

How long must I wait to see an improvement with Vitix®?

That depends on the patient, the type of vitiligo, individual physiological factors, and the degree to which the patient follows the posology. In our experience, results may be obtained with Vitix® from the 2nd month of use onwards.

How can I restore my pigmentation?

There are three types of repigmentation:

- uniform and progressive repigmentation.

- concentric repigmentation, which begins around the edges of the area which has lost its pigmentation.

- "confetti" repigmentation, which begins in the pilosebaceous follicles. This produces coloured marks, which gradually come together, resulting in complete repigmentation.

Can I expose myself to the sun while using Vitix®?

On your doctor's advice you may expose your skin to the sun in moderation, or as prescribed by your doctor.

Can I put on makeup when suffering from vitiligo?

You can put on makeup in areas affected by vitiligo with no problem, provided that you apply your treatment regularly and constantly. Choose your makeup carefully according to the characteristics of your vitiligo and the aesthetic results you want to achieve. You can use our product Viticolor to obtain long-lasting camouflage (3 to 4 days).

How do I apply Vitix®?

Vitix® must be applied twice a day in combination with phototherapy or heliotherapy, in the morning and evening, to clean skin that is free of makeup.

Can Vitix® be used on children, and if so, from what age?

Vitix® may be used with no problem in children aged 6 years and over.
